Santorum is Right, Perry is wrong.....



Verona, PA - POLITICO reported this afternoon that Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) admitted he was wrong in requiring an "opt-out" instead of an "opt-in" as a part of his horrendous mandate for pre-teen girls to be vaccinated for a sexually transmitted disease, HPV. Governor Perry said: "We should have had an opt-in instead of an opt-out." ("Perry knocks Bachmann's HPV story," POLITICO, Jonathan Martin, 9/14/2011)

Hogan Gidley, National Communications Director, said, "I'm glad Governor Perry is finally listening to Rick Santorum - and now understands a conservative position: that the government take-over of a 12-year old girl's body is a bad idea. Hopefully Senator Santorum can now get Governor Perry to flip his position on building a border fence, giving special tuition rates for children of illegals, and supporting gay marriage at the state level."

Senator Santorum directly confronted Governor Perry about this misguided policy and argued this same point during the last two presidential debates:
