Congratulations are in order to Fairfield County GOP who won the challenge between Chester County to host a dinner with Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum. Back in July both County parties agreed to a challenge that the County GOP with the most members / residents of the county that signs up to donate $10 a month to the South Carolina Republican Party by September 5Th, will win a dinner with Rick Santorum in their hometown.
So on Saturday Senator Santorum tweeted his comments on this event: Congrats to @KevinSThomas & @FairfieldSCGOP winners of my SCGOP fund raising challenge - I owe them a dinner! @SCGOP #SCtweets #SCPOL
Fairfield County then responded We are looking forward to having Sen. Santorum in Fairfield Gop. He is a true conservative and I encourage you to look at his record. We will have dinner at Yester Years in Ridgeway at a future date.
This is great to have two County parties getting involved to make things happen and we want to thank them both for getting engaged in the process and also for building a stronger GOP in both counties!~
